Who is Saint Elizabeth:

This marble statue for sale is about St Elizabeth, who is the princess of the Kingdom of Hungary. Married at the age of 14, Elizabeth took charge of the affairs of the family and distributed alms in the territory, even giving the national gown and ornaments to the poor. After her husband died, she regained her dowry and used the money to build a hospital, where she herself served patients. She became a symbol of Christian charity after her death at the age of 24. Elizabeth was canonized in the Roman Catholic Church on November 5.
